Q: I want to apply to be an Outdoor Afro Volunteer Leader or start a new network.

A: Check out our recruitment page. Please note recruitment generally runs from November to January. If you have any questions about the Leadership Program or your application, contact program@outdoorafro.org

 

Q: I would like to volunteer in another way.

A: We do not offer standing short term volunteer opportunities. To stay informed on any short-term opportunities that may arise, follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter.

 

Q: I’d like Rue Mapp or another Outdoor Afro representative to speak at my event.

A: If you’re writing to inquire about Outdoor Afro Founder and CEO Rue Mapp as a presenter or speaker on behalf of the network, please contact AAE Speakers. Otherwise, we are a small staff and cannot commit to making speaking appearances.

Q: I’d like someone from Outdoor Afro to lead a trip or experience.

A: Our staff and volunteers are not trained to be nature guides. Our volunteer leaders lead monthly experiences for our participants, and anyone is welcome to join. Find your local Outdoor Afro network here.

 

Q: I am a member of the press, and would like to request a quote or interview for an Outdoor Afro leader or representative.
